A studio where art, faith, and light converge.
My name is Sanna Syed, and I am the artist behind Al Zuhd Design, based in the Netherlands. In 2020, I discovered the transformative beauty of stained glass art, and what began as a creative outlet quickly became a spiritual journey.
Each piece I create is inspired by the Islamic concept of Zuhd — the practice of letting go of the worldly excess and focusing on what truly matters. My art reflects a quiet commitment to inner peace, simplicity, and remembrance. In the gentle glow of colored glass, I found a way to express devotion and serenity through form, light, and meaning.
At Al Zuhd Design, every artwork is handcrafted with purpose. Whether it’s the sacred names, symbolic forms like Qadam, or the serenity of mosque silhouettes, my intention is to create pieces that bring reflection and calm into your home.
